From the archives of the Clark County Observer, original draft.

1934 was an interesting year in the history of Clark County. Three term mayor Juleus Flynn announced that he was not going to seek reelection that year due to his increasing illness, so it came down to two newcomers. George McDermot a member of the Order of the Stars and Brian Rodgers a man relatively new to the area. Rogers had only been in town for about two years when he felt that he could rid the streets of corruption, and he ran on the Free and Clear ticket, a party he founded. Rodgers managed to topple the opposition, based on the rumors surrounding his opponent's connection to the doings of the Order of the Stars, dating back to his being present when Stargazer was arrested. Rodgers did what he could to make the city appear clean to the casual observer, but looking over the history books, during this time we see organized crime in Clark County increase almost ten fold, as well as the assasination of Llisrael Pronflan. Conspiracy theorists have pointed to the fact that it was a police pistol removed from a dead officer who had been leaking information to the press that shot Pronflan, leading them to think that Mayor Rodgers had been involved in his death, as well as that of the officer who was killed. Rodgers denied the event until his death in 1988, when he ceased denying it.

Editor:

Eriek, have you lost your touch, we need more information on the assasination, I know your kid is sick, but that is no excuse for your slacking. I expect to see some turnaround in your work soon.
