June 2007 Lexicon: ZoltanStarseeker

Zoltan Starseeker, aka Robert Darrow, was one of the many new-age religious leaders drawn to Spruce Street. Claiming supernatural powers such as telepathy, spirit healing, and pretzel unbending, he acquired a cult of followers, and defrauded many local residents of their savings.

Zoltan was born on June 4th, 1951 in Springfield, Illinois to two Catholic parents. By all accounts, he lead a dull and uneventful early life. This changed when, as a teenager, he simultaneously discovered LSD, Aleister Crowley, and shoplifting. After drifting around the country through the early 70's, he eventually ended up in Clark County, broke and desperate. That was when he met Llisrael Pronflan, and was inducted in to the Order of the Stars.

After several years, Zoltan broke off from the established group and created his own splinter faction, the Church of Glorious Healing. Because he had been able to lure to wealthier members of the original order to his new Church by promising them powerful positions, the Church had access to substantial financial resources. Using those, Zoltan was able to purchase an unused radio tower and began to create his media empire.

Clark County proved to be an excellent place to start a religious movement. He promised to heal the psychic trauma centered around Spruce Street, if only he received enough generous contributions from his loving followers. Money came in from all around the area, and Zoltan slowly built up his empire. His ministry acquired the trappings of christianity, and started to head towards the mainstream. Jerry Falwell met with him once. Zoltan was poised to become a millionaire and national celebrity, so came up with his biggest idea yet.

However, the Spruce Street Healing Crusade did not go as planned, to say the least. After the events of that night, Zoltan's has not been seen since, and is presumed dead.
