Yezcheck Phesans
Oh knight, the perfect specimen is out of reach. Is your life empty?

I am drinking some delicious yewlev juice as I open my mail.
There is a letter from Sir Phesans here. I found an interesting beetle on my bathroom wall last week, and as Sir P is somewhat of an amateur taxonomical sleuth, I spirited it from under Triskele’s fascinated nose and sent it off to him. This must be his reply.

Ah, my old Elf-friend!
You set me a real puzzle with this one, but I believe I have found the answer at last. Xel B'el Zarr’s account of your so-called indigenous wildlife neglects this particular variant, but after searching through some apokrupha, I suspect it is a preternatural cousin of the weevil, to wit: the Zellerbrax’s weevyl.
Thanks for the game. (Although I remain unconvinced by your innocent act, and believe that you knew the answer the whole time.)
Affectionately yours,
- Y.P.

At the top of his game, as usual. I think I will send him a special treat as my next gift.
