Notes and shit. 10/17/99

So, let's see if I remember this correctly. Pronflan joined the cult, got all cozy with Stargazer, and ended up receiving the Vision of the Heavens. Hmm. I think I've translated enough of this book to get a decent description of what he saw.

He rose up, the room spreading before him, his own mortal shell and all those around him like dolls in his gaze. Emanuel's hand was on his forehead, a glow of an indescribable color emanating from the interface of skin. He looked up, through the ceiling, but the sky above him was neither the blue of the afternoon he had left, nor the black of the coming night. Instead, it swam in greens and purples and oranges, it shone in yellows of pure gold and reds of hot blood. And orb-like objects swam and collided through this alien sky.

He floated upwards, towards this suspended landscape. As he approached the first flying sphere, he saw that it was made of human hands, writhing and grasping at each other, and at the smaller sphere which came within their grasp. Slightly distraught, Llisrael floated higher, towards Stargazer's promises of fields of heavenly glory and eternal life.

But as he pierced each crystal sphere, the visions grew more and more vile. Fields of heavenly glory -- the glory of war and slaughter and torture and rape. Man with the eyes of demons raved naked across the land, butchering all that came into their sight.

Higher yet, he saw harems of woman serving fat, ugly men, their privates covered in sores and boils of all shapes and colors. They fed their corpulent masters rotting fruit, which were chewed and swallowed with sickening pops of bile, each oozing grape an egg of flies which swarmed thicker than the smoke of the fires on which human flesh cooked.

At last, he came to the penultimate level of this traitorous heaven, before gates of such horror and audacity as he could never have imagined. And slowly, slower than death, the gates opened, and before him stood a vision of indescribable evil.

He woke slowly, afraid to open his eyes for fear of what he might see. But the voice of his closest, dearest friend Emanuel pierced his terror.

"Stand up and see, my friend, the world we are here to protect. You must accept that those horrors are mere inches away from reality, and you must work to prevent them from manifesting here, now."

Llisrael rose, slowly, gingerly, but with a new light shining in his eyes, burning in his soul. He knew now what his purpose in this world was.

That's good enough for now. There's enough truth in there to get people good and scared. Fucking hell, I hope this is all just a sick joke. Just a coincidence. Just some freak of the cosmos that forced me to see all this, just like the book said it would be. Where the fuck is that thoramide? Maybe a tenth one will knock me out.
