I don't know exactly what she did, but the Night Hound is no more.

Carol Meraldi managed to follow the thing back to it's lair and put it down with some Iribith powder, she claimed that it screamed in an unearthly howl, shattering the nearby windows at the old felton lodge. She also returned the Kerrabic Skein to me, apparently the hound had stolen it. The Skien is now under close watch in the basement, we don't want it to vanish on us again.
