"Feri" is a unique food native to the Clark County area. Basically, it's beef jerky, flavored with Barbecue sauce and wermis root. I've tried some, and it tastes okay. It's pretty dang hard to chew, though. I can't say I know why it caught on.
This being Clark County, a variety of magical powers are attributed to it. Clairvoyance, protection from Dark Ones, dental hygiene, etc. Based on observed teeth quality in the area, I don't put much stake in the last claim.
It has a bit of historical significance, because Zoltan Starseeker tried to market it during the fledging stages of his ascension to the national stage. Sold it as a weight loss supplement. I imagine it worked as good as it's peers in that illustrious group.
