Xarxus

Xarxus was the first prophet of Uum and the founder of the modern nation of Matratut.

Over a two thousand years ago the region now occupied by the three kingdoms was populated by scattered villages and nomadic tribes. Careful examination of the few surviving relics of that time implies that there were several divine beings worshiped by the different groups. These ancient beliefs are most likely the start of what is now refered to as the Outsider heresy.

The Matratutian records speak of his miracles, and his blessed presence uniting the people in the worship of Uum. More likely he used his charisma to form a small army and slaughtered those who would not follow his lead. The few ruins of villages from that era show signs of violence, and the Matratutians are notorious for their zeal.

His prophecies have been carefully monitored by various monastic groups, but until the arrival of the Incarnation they were largely ignored.
