• PENNANCE: Seizure of all holdings and property, exile to the Wasted Lands.

Originally from The Book of Penance, Year of the Somewhat Uncouth Salmon edition. The copy which this text was taken from was found in an amazingly well preserved cave in the Wasted Lands. Blasphemous markings in the margins support my theory that this book was Mega’s personal copy, which he took with him when he fled from Matratut.

While he was to be peaceably exiled to assist in settling the frontier, a band of nervous citizens who had lost their homes due to Mega’s machinations planned to ambush him three days ahead of the official ceremony of exile. Official records of Mega disappear at this point, although I have purchased a few trinkets which once belonged to him from two slack-jawed Lithoni Tribesmen. -- H. G.

These notes were purchased from the estate sale of Ol’ Horace by an unnamed philanthropist who later published them in the third appendix to a mysterious biography.
