The Quiet City is the center of the Uumian religion, and it is the location of an Aluricite throne of great value and significance. The Quiet City consists largely of a variety of temples and monasteries, and is guarded carefully by the Iambic Pentaguard. All of the Iams, since the original Xarxus have resided in a special palace inside the Quiet City walls. The walls and guard of the Quiet City have been effective in keeping a sanctuary of peace for millenia. The only group that came close to breaching the walls was the Apostate of Matratut, who successfully breached the outer walls using a large amount of improvised explosives. The Quiet City stands today as a place of peace, contemplation, and dictatorial control, and is likely to remain so for another milenia.
