Yes, I've heard about the scandals involving Orlan, Bard on the Run. But honestly, what did you expect from one of Ol' Horace's compatriots? Their whole crew are dogs, I say. No smarter than a bunch of parloni, I say. And a lot worse looking.
They're all probably true, too. I except no less from that scum. Well, except the ones involving myself. Nothing ever happened between Orlan and myself, and I challenge you to find anyone who can validate those horrible rumours.
He's just like any other has-been. His early works show a lot of promise, a brilliant up and coming author and artist. His translation of the Ziquan Canto is especially poignant, as well as his own piece Iasder and Uum.
However, from there it looks like he fell in with the wrong crowd and everything went downhill. He took up travelling and adventuring and lost sight of his original aesthetics. He travelled to the Far Lands, had a nasty run in with the Vile Sails while performing a rescue mission, and went all over Jarboe.
These days, he doesn't do much at all. Low on luck and money, Orlan travels around, probably even perpetuating these rumours of himself in order to get more publicity, and maybe an invitation to some social event where he can get a meal or two.
